Students learnt about the functioning of parliament
An educational philosopher says, тАЬGive the pupils something to do, not something to learn, and when the doing is of such a nature as to demand thinking, learning naturally results.тАЭ The students from Classes 8 to 12 of Almighty Public School School, Hamirpur, enacted parliamentary proceedings. They showed how members of parliament discuss issues, bills are moved and passed by voting and other functional aspects of upper and lower houses of parliament. The aim of the youth parliament was to strengthen the roots of democracy, inculcate healthy habit of discipline and enable students to understand the working of parliament.Around 25 students participated and created the look of a real parliament. Students took part in items like oath by new members, introduction of new ministers by Prime Minister, question hour, papers to be laid, vote of no confidence and breach of privilege. During the question hour many important issues were raised and discussed like COVID and INFLATION. The leader of the opposition moved the vote of no-confidence and criticised the government for its failure on the economic front like inflation and Covid Preparations. The Health minister tried to defend the government saying that the government is concerned about this pandemic .

quiz aims to inculcate in the minds of young students a spirit of intellectual enquiry , analytical thinking and provides a platform to the budding Minds for exchanging thoughts, 18th December 2021 heralded quiz competition at Almighty Public School , Hamirpur. The event witnessed enthusiastic preparation and participation. The competition was conducted in three categories тАУ Sub Junior category for classesтАЩ I-III and Junior category that included classes IV, V& VI and VIII,VIII & IX. The format of the quiz entailed five rounds for each group. Each round was further divided into two sub-rounds.
The students were at their literary best while answering the questions in the different rounds of the quiz. It provided an opportunity for the participants to explore the world of Science. It was a wonderful learning experience. The time allotted to give the correct answer was ten seconds, failing which the question was passed to the next team. In case, none of the teams were able to answer correctly, the question was open for all the students.
Each team exuberated confidence as they answered the questions posed to them while being cheered upon by their house mates. The varied types of questions asked triggered the curious minds and made it a fun and learning event for all.

Students who participate in sports learn a sense of preparedness for the future. Being a high school athlete teaches kids that other people depend on them. Students develop the self-discipline, motivation and leadership skills that they will need to succeed in building a purposeful life.

Kho-Kho keeps children well, strong, motivated, enthusiastic and young. It helps in better coordination and flexibility. Kho-Kho helps the children to off depression, anxiety, stress, and increase self-esteem.
SPORTS :: BADMINTON sound study of students depends upon healthy mind and healthy body. Sound health can be maintained by students through Games and Sports. So, students are encouraged to participate actively in games and sports activity besides their regular studies by Physical Education Teacher. Students with innate talents of sports are identified and highly skilled in identified discipline of Games and Sports so that they can later on embrace that discipline as future carrier in their life.
Though cricket predominates amongst all the games played in India, badminton manages to have a strong group of dedicated followers. Badminton today is played as a serious sport in India. It is a sport that can be played both socially and competitively. Playing badminton helps the child feel well, strong and motivated. It can help in coping with anxiety and stress and offers a release from the pressures of everyday life
A fun and competitive gameтАШSack RaceтАЩ was conducted for Junior students. The objective of the activity was to encourage the amazing development skills which were disguised in the fun game. Children were divided into teams and then were asked to place both their legs inside a sack and hop forward from a starting point towards a finish line. The first person to cross the finish line was the winner of the race. It encouraged physical abilities like balance, agility, and coordination among children.
Frog Jumps are a great exercise for athletes to increase power and speed. It will work your thighs, glutes, and your entire lower body. This is a heart healthy exercise too as your heart rate will increase quickly.
The Almightians enthusiastically participated in lemon and spoon race wherein they had to balance the lemon in the spoon and complete the race.
